Celebration

Celebration is a study of current or recent NHL home jerseys, shown at their most colourful and jubilant moments during a goal celebration. Hockey uniforms are unique to sports because they offer a large palette to promote a team brand, with a full-length sleeve jersey, pants, socks, gloves, and a helmet. Almost the entire athlete is covered, except for the face. This project focuses mainly on the jersey.

The process: These illustrations started as photographs and were enhanced in Photoshop to accentuate fabric details, motion, and speed. Two attributes that are synonymous with ice hockey.
